Position Overview
The General Manager will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction, with a focus on commercial growth, people leadership and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the founder, the General Manager will lead the leadership team, drive profi tability, manage risks and ensure continuous innovation across the business.
The General Manager will oversee a wide range of departments, including commercial performance across all channels (Retail, Marketing, Customer Service & Dispatch, Production, Design and People & Culture).
This role will also involve shaping the company’s retail, wholesale, e-commerce sales strategies whilst exploring new business opportunities and future global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
● Define and implement a commercial growth roadmap to drive revenue and profitability.
● Drive revenue growth, secure high profile retail partnerships and optimize sales operations.
● Develop and lead strategies for Australian brand and market expansion, with the view of global expansion longer- term.
● Navigate retail markets and develop strategic business opportunities
● Management of wholesale, sales forecasting, contract negotiations and operational excellence.
● Oversee the the wholesale strategy, domestic and international distribution and managing property leasing, including the feasibility analysis and CAPEX management for new stores
● Collaborate with the Founder to guide the leadership team through change and scale, ensuring professional development and fostering a positive culture.
● Align with the leadership team to plan timelines, ensure adherence to critical paths and implement operational systems designed to accommodate the company’s rapid growth.
● Collaborate closely with the founder to execute the company’s vision and long-term strategy.
● Develop with the Leadership team individual department strategy and performance ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy
● Oversee day-to-day operations, including management of the leadership. Ensuring a culture of transparency, accountability, enablement and high performance is priority.
● Lead the team in monitoring and optimising operational effi ciency, ensuring processes are effective and scalable.
● Build and lead a high-performing team by defi ning roles, setting objectives, with coaching.
● Build and maintain a culture of transparency, trust, and empowerment within the organisation.
● Collaborate with leadership to maintain alignment with the company’s vision and long-term objectives.
