Overview of the position:

Responsible for planning, assortment, selection, purchasing , pricing and co ordination of promotions to an assigned number of ACCESSORIES brands within our clients portfolio. To meet and exceed company budgets for all assigned brands and meeting margin and inventory targets.

Assortment planning/analysis:

  • Create a merchandise plan based on post season analysis.
  • Identify sales trends highlighting best and worst performers
  • Identify areas of opportunity within assortment and sales trends
  • In consultation with buying manger provide input into the OTB and buying plans .
  • Have a through understanding of OTB and buying plans.

Range Selection:

  • Develop a range selection and product grading in line with business needs based on planning/analysis for the accessories portion of the business/brand
  • Ensure gender/category breakdowns are in line with overall business objectives and assortment plans
  • Ensure range assortments are relevant for current seasons/climate/trends
  • Ensure store selections are appropriate for consumer base gender and demographic
  • Supplier negotiation
  • Manage and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Inventory Management:

  • Allocate and purchase core items in line with company objectives and inventory targets
  • Forecast core requirements, review and adjust core orders to fill business requirements
  • Ensure core lines are always in stock with full size curves.
  • Review core lines, store stock levels and replenishment monitored weekly.
  • Monitor stock receipts to ensure indent and replenishment deliveries arrive in store.
  • Stay up to date with daily weekly sales to identify store and sku trends
  • Review sales and sell thru and develop Markdown plan and recommendations.
  • Monitor aged stock and perform consolidations accordingly
  • Monitor best sellers and perform consolidations accordingly
  • Seasonal replenishment of indent styles.

Promotional coordination:

  • Liaise with Marketing Manager to develop promotional plan supporting key purchased stories
  • Identify styles to support window campaigns and all social media and online strategies
  • Track sales performance of such promotional plan and review/report success or suggestions for future
  • Organise and undertake all preparation for promotional planned and pop-up sales. Suggest strategies of what product needs to be pushed, categories that need attention and ways to impact company sales targets inline with GP objectives

Store/Senior Team communication

  • Liaise with National, State, Area and store managers to ensure you are in touch with issues on the ground regarding assigned brands for the accessories business
  • First point of contact for all senior management and store staff regarding any queries, issues or feedback regarding assigned accessories brands
  • Present to senior management and store staff regarding assigned accessories brand strategy, trends, product knowledge and what is coming for assigned brands
  • Liaise with Brand managers reporting successes and giving feedback on the retail performance of assigned brands.
